10 very interesting facts about Salman Khan and Daisy Shah’s Jai Ho

Salman Khan is all set to play a patriotic role for the first time in his more than 25 years of Bollywood career.

The Dabangg Khan will be seen in the role of Major Jai Agnihotri in the Sohail Khan film Jai Ho which derives its title from the Oscar winning AR Rahman song Jai Ho from Slumdog Millionaire. 

Making a huge comeback after an year long break for his television projects mainly Bigg Boss 7, Salman Khan is featuring against debutant choreographer-turned actress Daisy Shah in the film. 

Apart from Salman and Daisy in the lead, the film boasts of a huge starcast including Tabu, Ashmit Patel, Sana Khan, Nadira Babbar and Sunil Shetty.

1. Salman Khan ruled the small screen in the year 2013 but was missing from the silver screen since the release of his last film Dabangg 2 in 2012.

2. After playing Salman Khan’s sister-in-law in Hum Saath Saath Hain, Tabu plays Salman’s sister in the film.

3. Daisy Shah is making her Bollywood debut with the film Jai Ho but the choreographer-turned actress has worked with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the film Khakee as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya. 

4. Salman Khan, who is also a painter by choice and has created some fabulous works of art, has merged the pictures of his fans to create the Jai Ho poster. 

5. Daisy Shah has also played Kareena Kapoor’s role named Ammu in the Kannada version of Bodyguard which had Salman Khan in the Hindi version. 

6. Sohail Khan has made huge efforts in making Jai Ho a masala entertainer which promises to present Salman the way he is loved by his fans. 

7. Nach Baliye 6 contestant Bruna Abdullah is starring opposite Ashmit Patel in the film. Her role was especially designed apart from the script to give Ashmit a romantic partner in the film.

8. Ashmit Patel and Yash Tonk play Salman Khan’s friends in the film.

9. The film begins with a rave party song Naacho Re ahead of Salman Khan’s entry in the film. 

10. Salman Khan and Nadira Babbar playing mother and son in the film initially had a fallout during the shooting of the film. However, the they soon became good friends.
